The Rider-Waite deck, with images by Pamela Colman Smith, was the first tarot deck, and therefore arguably the best way to learn tarot. This listing gives the option of learning with the original cards, or coloring in your own.
At the time this deck was created, printing techniques were still rudimentary, and mass-producing colored cards was impossible. Therefore, each deck was hand colored. Coloring in your own deck can amplify your connection with the cards, making it the perfect way to learn this iconic imagery.
The Rider-Waite deck includes a cotton carrying bag printed with the iconic Magician Card. As well, choose to include a set of 12 colored pencils, perfect for coloring in the cards. This white on black set includes our signature moth and moon design.
Or, if you'd like to give one of my mini decks a try, choose between a matchbox-sized version, or a small envelope. Note: these decks include ONLY the Major Arcana (not the full 78 card deck)
Note that the "include pencils option" includes the large set with the black moth for the full deck, and both the mini and tiny tarot sets include a small brown set of colored pencils
